Re: NGD

Nice !

One day I'm going to get me one of those too, preferrably a brown/reddish one with crackles :-)

Re: MK 50H II vs. Boogie mark V - isolated Aftershock

Haha, awesome ! The first must be the Cornford.... A request: for shits and giggles, now record that again but each with the other cab and the same amp-settings you used for this second clip. I'm very interested to hear what the actual effect of the cabs is (or maybe even the grillcloth as you point...

Re: MK 50H II vs. Boogie Mark V

For starters, props for taking the time to do this ! I think something is off here; assuming you didn't make any adjustments in Reaper (so a straight recording) there's way too much difference in tone. My guess would be you miked the cab quite differently... For a fair comparison, use the micing pos...

Re: Panama - Cornford MK50 (studio recording)

Awesome playing !

Tone isn't quite there I feel. Too much lows/low-mids. I "think" easily solved by aiming the mic more at the dome ?

Not trying to offend you but trying to be constructive

Re: Cornford MK 50H II vs Soldano HR100+ - Unchained

I don't have any hands on experience with the HotRod but if it's similar to an SLO I'd say no1 is the Cornford and no2 is the Soldano. Cornfords seem to have a little more low-mids out of the box and Soldano's a little more high-end bite and that's what I hear in this clip. Very nicely played and re...

Sounds great !

Speakers, mic, placement ?

Were the keyboards an extra as I don't see a keyboardist on your profilephoto ?
