Re: Cornford MK 50H II vs Soldano HR100+ - Unchained

Late to the party but even with thhe resulta givwn, it was very obvious that the first one was the cornford. Much more meat in the low mids and defined bottom end. vh is not my kind of music or tone im going for really, but nice playing really. I cannot play with that much gain and get anything but ...

Re: Check out my Roadhouse 30 review!

Love the review, I agree on many of your points. My RH30 combo was my first Cornford, and its a special amp for me as it was a gift from my wife and kids - I will never sell it, and it will for me always be the best combo - love the solid oversize pine cab, even if its big and quite heavy, its manag...

Re: Facebook Group...

Hi Gadget Thank for keeping the forum up. It is an invaluable source of information for current and future Cornford owners. Let me know if I should set up a mirror site for it just in case of our friend Murphey decides to say hello some time in the future. I could install the complete the forum soft...

Re: Dialling in the MK50H II

One thing I have learned playing the Cornford MK50h II is that its ultra transparent, meaning that every guitar will sound different , and not subtly so. It will maintain that clarity (or honesty) through rather surprising amounts of gain. The pickups are an obvious component to the sound you will a...

Re: Roadhouse 50 combo speakers + cab??

So your external 1 x 12 is 8 ohms I presume? If I plug into a 16 ohm 4 x 12 then do I put the internal speakers AND the external speakers into the 8 ohm sockets? No .. You plug the cab into the 16 ohm socket and leave the internal speakers disconnected. If you must use the combo speaker too, you ne...

Re: Roadhouse 30 in detail

Regarding mushy bass: Change the speaker :) I dont exactly know what it is with the V30 in this combo - maybe its because it is front mounted  I tried other V30 cabs with the amp and its definately not as mushy, but it still lacked "balls". I tried a bunch of speakers (G1275T's, greenbacks - ...

Re: Hellcat vs Roadhouse 30 - initial experience

Hi Rich, congrats with the cat :) For some reason, I have not found a really good video on youtube showing off the hellcat - and quite many for the RH and MK50/II I have seen the HC described as lacking bottom-end - and I wonder , with the RH as the reference , do you find that ? I am a bit concerne...
