Re: Roadhouse 30 Combo review

Cool man. You're absolutely entitled to your opinions. One of the biggest challenges of writing reviews I think is presenting your opinions in a really open-ended way so that people can interpret them according to their own needs. This works the other way too - sometimes its hard for me to be impart...

Re: Roadhouse 30 Combo review

Well written, although you might want to take a look at this: https://en.oxforddictionaries.com/usage/its-or-it-s Having started with a grammar correction, you will now automatically hate me, but here goes: I agree with your assessment of the overall tone, although my findings relating to the onboar...

Re: MK 50H II vs. Boogie mark V - isolated Aftershock

Ah, sorry man, I sold my Cornford a couple of months ago so I can't do that :(

MK 50H II vs. Boogie mark V - isolated Aftershock

I've done another. I've attempted to remove all unwanted variables this time - both amps are straight down the middle with no backing and I've triple checked my mic position is the same as usual; allowing for minute variation again I suppose. It's worth pointing out that the MESA uses MESA branded V...

Re: MK 50H II vs. Boogie Mark V

To prove my point I've done another. I've attempted to remove all unwanted variables this time - both amps are straight down the middle with no backing and I've triple checked my mic position is the same as usual. It's worth pointing out that the MESA uses MESA branded V30s and a much harder/thicker...

Re: MK 50H II vs. Boogie Mark V

I know what you mean. The Cornford was recorded months ago so there's nothing I can do now. But both have the same mic position and recording technique, so the difference you are hearing is Cornford-Cornford cab vs Boogie-MESA cab, allowing for slight differences in mic position. I always use the sa...

MK 50H II vs. Boogie Mark V

My two favourite amps so far; I decided to compare them on a medium-ish gain setting as traditionally this is where the Boogie would be weaker. See what you think. Each amp is played through its own matching V30 cab and dialled in for the best possible tone in the room. Guitar-amp-cable-SM57-Logic h...
