Cleans on a Mk50H (not II)

Just received this "clean channel in a box" pedal yesterday from Kingsleyamps, the Pedal is called Squire. Playing the Squire through the loop of a Cornford Mk50H amp (which has two dirty sounds but no real cleans as such). For my taste of what "clean" should be this is pretty spot on. Just a simple...

Re: MK50II Tube Selection

I have settled on JJ6L6 in poweramp (prefer them to SED =C= 6L6s)
and TAD Premium Selected in V1-V3, a Chinese 12AX7 in V4.

Sounds mean and punchy.

Re: Adding reverb to MK50mkII

If you have any interest in Tremolo and Sounds with real Mojo, you should have a close look at the Strymon Flint. I love mine and can't stop using those rich lush reverberated trems. Reverb on its own is top notch, too. Here just the reverbs: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nMV2lGFWYPk Here a full de...

Re: Is everybody offloading Cornfords?

I would get a used Mk50HII on top of my Mk50H, but I'm scared it could have the clean channel pop issue and then noone to fix it.

Re: U.K. Sale of Goods Act

That is great because I'm sure all music store are just billionaires driving bentleys so they should freaking live up to their responsibility... Truth is, most stores can barely survive due to web price dumping. Add some guys claiming repairs for amps that gave them a few 100GBPs profit a few years ...

Straight. Bigger sound, less treble in the face.

Re: I don't understand why the Roadhouse don't sell....

In that price range there are loads of great amps, like the Egnater Tweaker 40 and many many more. Most people want two channels, a real clean and a dirt. The RHs don't do that so well.

Anyone using the LO input on the Mk50?

I just set up my Mk50 after some time collecting dust. What a great amp! I found that using the Lo input, with Gain1 on 12 o'clock gives me nice cleans and the Gain2 on 2 o'clock a great overdrive tone. Smoother and less pikey than the Hi. I never liked the Lo input but nowadays I seem to prefer it....
