NOAD!

Post by s&m freddy » Fri Apr 12, 2013 4:22 pm

New old amp day yesterday! MK50 #19 has just joined the stable. Haven't been able to crank her at all yet but sounding very sweet down low.

Despite the 5881 power tubes she does sound very similar to the RK at this volume. I will post an update once I have had a chance to wind her up. Loving the switchable twin Masters and adjustable Overdrive knob already though.

Just need a Hellcat now and my world will be complete

Are there that few of these amps that you need to call them by their production number? :O

Goes to check mine... Hellcat number 25.

Never really thought about that. Congrats on your new amp.

Awesome, the old MK's are fantastic amps! I have one, will have to check the s/n but I know it's as low as yours, but what a beast of an amp. I have a Hurricane combo too and I have a RK 4 x 12 that is awaiting a RK100 when I can find one (finances permitting).

Nice one....there are cheaper addictions but few as rewarding...these amps are simply wonderful. I am like a pig in wotsit with the MK at the moment. You won't regret getting an RK if you can find one...so simple, authoritative and ridiculously powerful

Mine is a Combo, and yours? Perhaps that is the difference!

Mine is a head, but I thought serial numbers were sequential throughout the whole Hellcat range (?)

Doing another check exact thing it sais is HCC-0025, meaning Hellcat Combo - 0025 I would assume. So I think that would be the difference!
