I met Rob briefly at Monkeyfest 2011 (the live music & tuition festival that he was key in setting up)...while I can understand the 'acquired taste' nature of his Monkey-based antics, I think it's important to remember that, in part, it's a marketing persona that has effectively given him a career in music (as opposed to, like most of us, a hobby that's been funded by a non-related 9-to-5).

IMHO - like him or not, he works hard and he tries to give something back, and he's never short on encouragement for young people trying to make music, at whatever level...

Last Cornford amp at Andertons (a Harly) would appear to have been sold. The brand name is no longer showing in the manufacturer link on the Andertons website.

The Official Cornford Amplification Facebook page (Wally) posted a new review of the MK50II yesterday - http://www.guitarplanet.eu/cornford-mk50-ii-review.html containing the erroneous statement that 'Cornford still to this day build the best amps in the world', which is of course true, but should be in the past tense.
In the comments following that post, Wally had to acknowledge that it's not currently possible to purchase a new one...

Victory is very close to going live, as far as I know - last update I saw from Lee Anderton suggested late September, as does the website:- http://www.victoryamps.com/news.htm

I'm fascinated to see how this progresses, and how much the Victory sound will share with the Cornford sound (will they both, in actual fact, have the Kidd sound?).

I'd also love to hear how (or if?) Paul is progressing with finding a new manufacturing partner, and what a new range might look/sound like.

How many folks are planning a close look at Victory as soon as the models are released?

According to the latest copy of Guitarist magazine (the one with a '59 Les Paul on the cover), they'll be reviewing two of the new Victory amps in next month's issue. They'll also have an interview with Guthrie Govan where he talks about his new Charvel guitar and his new (presumably Victory) amp.

Victory have also updated their Facebook page, with lots of pics of the forthcoming models in different stages of production.
