I was hoping for a lower price point to be honest .... At that level they are well into the subjective world where all amps 'should' sound great just all a little different in character. The V50 would be of interest but it will have to be pretty amazing to justify 3x the price of my Roadhouse! Right now I still want a Hellcat rather than any of these new Victorys - don't suppose there is any news on the Cornford new 'factory'?? We haven't heard from Wally in some time ... Am assuming (as most here would have feared) that it is coming to nothing. Shame :(

I understand that this is the first batch of amps?
In their live no one has heard of?
But the price Andertons clearly overstated.

...who in their right mind would pre-order a best part of £2500 rig without seeing or actually hearing it in the iron??
Still toying with:
PRS Soapbar ll, Les Paul Studio, Yamaha SG2000s, Gibson 335, 1973 Strat
into a Cornford Roadhouse 30 Combo (+ ext 1x12 V30)
BOSS ME5 - With Custom 'Boutique' Upgrade Set - see below:

Just looking at the Earl and comparing it to my Hellcat it has:

- a bit more power (50w vs 35)
- switchable to 15w (can a Hellcat be retro switchable to lower power?)
- channel switchable at the amp as well as via a footswitch
- uses PCBs (but away from the valve circuitry, so it sits between Roadhouse and the bigger amps?)
- no sexy oxblood covering!

I'm sure it's a very fine amp (Martin Kidd has a justifiably good reputation as we know) but my Hellcat (new) was cheaper and still seems a bit more special (OK I'm as biased as a valve...).

Will be interesting to compare back to back.

Andy

Amplifier 35W less in demand than low-power up to 10 W or serious head 50W, 100W.
For concerts may not have enough power for a home or the studio lot.
Although there are always options ...

Hi guys, I'm fairly sure I've left it too late but does anyone know of anywhere that still has brand new Harlequins or Carreras still in stock or am I going to have to go second hand? Searched extensively online to no avail
