Switched to Harlequin

Post by guitarplayer » Fri Dec 12, 2014 6:17 pm

I have recently bought a Harlequin. I couldn't stand not owning a Cornford amp once I sold my RK100.
Youtube videos with Harly just don't seem to show how much gain this amp has, how tight/organic/musical it is.
I played some chords, did a quick solo, added simple bass line and here it is.

Sounds really lush tonally dude... What guitar you using on these ? pups?

I have a harlequin, which I was always trying to push harder for some deeper harmonics.. but I recently acquired a Hurricane which had the ompf in the drive to really realise what I was looking to accentuate in the harlequin...

I do find tho, these amps just suck guitar drive pedals right up.... like, accentuating the overall one, not over riding it... if you know what I mean!! The touch responsiveness is still there even when you kick in the pedal.

Thanks! I miss my RK100 already, but for home use Harly is just fine.
I used RK strat on those clips.

Agreed on the boost - not really a volume difference, just a different sound, slightly more focused and compressed, all responsiveness is still there.
Great for solos that still let your tone shine through the mix.

Thank you Martin Kidd! :)

Sounds great!

I'm a huge fan of the RK100 myself. I'm SO glad that it didn't sell when I had it listed.
