Sounds great !

Speakers, mic, placement ?

Were the keyboards an extra as I don't see a keyboardist on your profilephoto ?

Thanks dudes.

Speakers were Vintage 30s in a Cornford 2x12. Mic was a 57 right where the dustcap meets the cone, same way I always mic for rock :) dirty rhythm guitars are double tracked.

There's no post processing to speak of on the dirt channel, just a bit of subtle massaging to bring the highs and lows out around all those keys! Yes, we go out with a keys player most of the time but also as a trio, hence the vague promo!

Cleans are full-on 80s processed, compressed to hell on the main channel with an 1176 and then sent to three buses: one for stereo verb, one panned hard left, delayed and tuned down 6 cents, one panned hard right, delayed and tuned up 7 cents. Our keys player used a real H3000 but I had to go to all this trouble instead :)

Cleans also record stupidly well without all the processing; I've got this on a different track which I'll share soon

Oh, the solo is a single track with a bit more midrange, and some stereo verb and ping pong delay.
